2014 Makeup Favorites

First of all, I would like to say thank you to everyone who read my blog last year. I hope you enjoyed it look forward to future posts.

I kicked off this blog during 2014 and I’ve enjoyed being a part of the green beauty blogging community. I’ve learned a lot from other bloggers, discovered many natural beauty brands and tried A LOT of products!

Below are my favorite makeup products from 2014 (in no particular order). Please stay tuned for a separate post on my favorite skincare products from 2014.

Cate McNabb Eyeshadow in Kitten Nose  I discovered this paraben-free, cruelty-free cosmetics line late in the year and this eyeshadow immediately become one of my go-to products.  $16

Red Apple Lipstick in Maven Mauve  I have several Red Apple lipsticks and this is the favorite shade I’ve tried. $23.50

Alima Pure Luminous Shimmer Blush in Freja  I sampled several blushes last year and this blush beats the pack. $20

Lily Lolo Eyebrow Duo in Light  I love pressed powder eyebrow products and this one is the perfect shade for me. $14.98

Lily Lolo Eye Primer  This is my favorite primer out of the 3 I tried in 2014. $14.98

Lily Lolo Finishing Powder in Flawless Silk  I’ve sampled at least 3 finishing powders and this one’s my favorite. $22

Lily Lolo Mascara Lash Alert I  tried 4 mascaras this past year and liked this one the best. I don’t think this formula is sold anymore but a vegan formula is available.

Brija Cosmetics Hoola Hoop Bronzer  I tried around 4 bronzers this past year. Many were too dark or too orange but this one rocks. $2 – $11.50

Mineral Fusion Concealer in Medium  It hasn’t been easy to find a peach-based corrector (dupe for Bobbie Brown Corrector in Bisque) but the darker shade of this duo works well for me. $24.99

Zuzu Oil-Free Liquid Foundation in L-11  I tried at least 4 foundations in 2014 and Zuzu tops them all; perfect color, easy to apply and natural looking finish. $29.75
